Jingle Bell Toy Ride once again brings joy to less fortunate

Date: 11 January 2024 By: Karla van Zyl

The annual Jingle Bell Toy Ride, hosted in Louis Trichardt, not only brings the community together but, more importantly, collects toys for less fortunate children. Last year’s Jingle Bell Toy Ride took place on 22 December.

To participate in the ride, the entry fee consists solely of a donated toy. The bicycles used during this ride are usually adorned with a Christmas theme, and cyclists pedal through town, spreading cheer for the festive season.

Following a highly successful toy ride, the Soutpansberg Youth Cycling Development (SYCD) group distributed all collected toys on 30 December. The SYCD group hopes to showcase their remarkable work to more people and encourages increased participation in future events.

In other news, the SYCD group requires funding or any kind of donations to support their cycling development and growth.
