Pediatric Care Africa’s second Ride for a Child kicked off in White River over the weekend, with the first couple of days being quite eventful. The aim of this motorcycle ride is to raise much-needed funds for medical treatment and surgeries for vulnerable children in need.

Promising future for young double amputee

Two-and-a-half years ago, a young double amputee, who was then a scholar at a special school in Thohoyandou, became the recipient of a prosthetic limb, courtesy of IsAbility, the Jumping Kids project and Harcourts. This year, the young amputee, Vhutuhawe Nemutandani, has been enrolled in one of the top schools in Limpopo, the Emmanuel Christian School outside Louis Trichardt.

Net waar jy kyk is die damme vol, loop die riviere en bars Moeder Natuur uit haar nate van dankbaarheid. Selfs die normaalweg dorre savanna-veld agter die Soutpansberg is vanjaar lowergroen. Maar is die baie reën van die afgelope paar weke regtig so buitengewoon vir die Soutpansberg?
