Sad farewell to Musina's Manny Dos Santos

It is with great sadness that the community of Musina had to bid farewell to Mr Manny Dos Santos, well-known businessman and owner of Messina Groentemark, also known as Musina Foodzone.

Manuel Freitas Dos Santos, born on 12 July 1938, passed away on 31 January 2021, at the age of 82 years.

Manny, as he was fondly known, was loved and had a passion for life. His vibrant personality and happy disposition had a tremendous impact on the Musina community. He is survived by his wife, Lidie, three daughters and their spouses, Anita and Keith Scott, Gina and Luchi da Camara, Carla and Michael Wills, nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Manny was a Godly man with a caring heart and will be dearly missed by all who knew him. The family dedicated the following to him:

God saw you getting tired
So He put His arms around you
And whispered “Come to me”.
A golden heart stopped beating
Hard-working hands now rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us
He only takes the best.
