Take note of scheduled power interruptions

Residents of the Soutpansberg must prepare themselves for several scheduled power interruptions during April.

The is due to Eskom´s having to install an optical fiber line from the Makhado Municipality’s main substation along a route to the northern side of the Soutpansberg. To do so, they have to cross several of Makhado Municipality’s low-, medium- and high-voltage overhead power lines. Subsequently, the municipality will have to switch these lines off in order to enable Eskom to cross them safely.

On Sunday, April 3, consumers linked to the Bandelierkop line, the 66kV line to Levubu, Mashau/Tondoni, Valdesia, Levubu 1, Levubu 2 and the Mountain line will be affected. Power will be switched off from 06:00 until 18:00.

On April 8 and 17, the Mountain line will be switched off once again for the same period of time.
