Ms Kim Labuschagne, mother of murdered Ms Annette Kennealy, thanked the following members of the police and farmwatch structures for their help and assistance following the discovery of her daughter’s body:

Christo Snyman (rural safety coordinator of the local farm watches who assisted the police on the scene) and his driver Samson Maladza, Jacques Bouwer, Fritz Arends, Ockert de Lange (for assisting Christo on the scene), Doors le Roux, (for following up on the family’s concerns over Annette’s safety which led to the discovery of her body), Martin Kennealy, Teresa Vollgraaff, the Wolvaardt brothers and Robbie Roodt (who helped to gather information), the Makhado SAPS (including station commander Col Mabatha, Col Ndou, Col Bezuidenhout, Col Tshililo, Capt Ratshilumela, Capt Jordaan, Sgt Jongbloed, Const Mathloke, Const Radzilane, Const Ntangeni, Const Munyia, Sgt Musandiwa and Const Malema), the SAPS investigation and forensic team  (Brigadier Eddie van der Walt, W/O Hlongwane, W/O Mudau, Sgt Muneri, Sgt Malange, Sgt Musubi, Sgt Ntsanwisi, Sgt Netshitandani, Sgt Khosa, Sgt Matshavha, Const Tshivhase and all other SAPS and Rural Safety members involved), emergency personnel and the police’s pathology unit and Miriam who cleaned the crime scene after the police work was done.
