Clemour in the Top 8 of The Voice

The 24-year-old singer from Waterval, Clement “Clemour” Ngobeni, has reached the Top Eight stage of M-Net’s TV competition, The Voice South Africa.

Clemour received a standing ovation from coach Lira and Kahn after his dynamic and passionate rendition of South African Rock band Prime Circle’s hit song, She always gets what she wants.

The University of Johannesburg student indicated that he had a great time during Sunday’s performance. “I enjoyed the performance and I loved the song that I was performing,” said Clemour.

Following last Sunday’s show, the fate of Clemour and the other seven contestants are to be determined by the viewers’ votes.

The competition has reached the Top8 stage, where all four coaches are left with two contestants in their teams. The viewers’ votes will determine which four contestants will perform in the final round of the competition this coming Sunday.

Clemour secured his spot in the competition during the “blind” auditions where three coaches turned their chairs for him, and he became part of #TeamKahn, led by The Parlotones front man Kahn Morbee.

The rising star has been commended on several occasions for the hard work he does to hone his talent and also for the passion he displays during his performances.

Clemour said that he was grateful for the support he had been receiving from people from all over who continuously showed that they believed in his dream by voting for him.

The voting ends on Thursday night (19th) at 22:00 and fans have three ways in which they can vote. Each person can vote up to 300 times, using the various ways of voting. The easiest way is to SMS Clemour’s unique number (09) to 33692. Fans can also download the WeChat app on their phones. Simply add the ID mnettv and vote up to 100 times for free. The final option is to register on the website, http://thevoicesa.dstv.com/ and vote. Users can also vote 100 times and registration is free.
