The Vhembe District Municipality will no longer have an excuse for not being able to attend to problems and complaints because of a shortage of vehicles. The municipality received 19 brand-new vehicles to the value of R8,7 million on 25 May, to be used specifically and solely for the purpose of water service delivery within the municipality.

Unemployment rate rises to scary levels, especially in Vhembe

The rate of unemployment in the country has reached new record highs, but in Limpopo, and especially the Vhembe region, the number of people who are not employed is terrifying. Officially, the figure indicates that almost half of the productive population are without jobs, but the figure for young people is even more devastating.

Dat hierdie saak op pad is Hooggeregshof toe vir beslissing was gou duidelik.

Buyer makes quick R1,8 million profit out of controversial park deal

The controversial park opposite the Spar complex just east of the N1 in Louis Trichardt has been resold. The new owners are contemplating turning it into a residential estate or perhaps even a centre with upmarket restaurants and small shops.

Crime creeps closer as streets become darker
