TSHIVHASE - The PAC and the community of Tshivhase are still shocked about the death of Mr Nicholas Dangale.

Dangale, who was a teacher at Tshivhase Secondary School at Vhufulwi and deputy secretary of PAC in the province, died in a car accident on Sunday morning, just before 05:00.

According to police spokesperson Capt Ailwei Mushavhanamadi, Dangale was driving from Makonde to Sibasa when the accident happened. He was attending a festival at Makonde.

Mushavhanamadi said it appeared as if Dangale lost control over his vehicle and it overturned, before it hit a big stone on the side of road near Tshidimmbini. Although there were allegations that Dangale's car might have been shot at, Mushavhanamadi said the investigations revealed nothing suspicious about the accident.

Dangale (41), grew up in Vhufulwi and qualified as a teacher in 1986 at the then Venda College of Education. He also obtained an honours degree in history at the University of Venda, and later secured his masters degree in history from the University of the North.

He joined the PAC in 1989, and eventually became the secretary of the province. His wife, Asnath, and three children survive him. He will be buried at Vhufulwi tomorrow, (Saturday morning).
