Dedicated traffic cop passes away

A well-known traffic officer at the Makhado Municipality, Mr Abraham Makganyoga (52), passed away in the Polokwane MediClinic after a short illness on Sunday.

He was described by his colleagues as a hardworking, dedicated, loving and respectful traffic officer. The mayor, Cllr David Mutavhatsindi, expressed his condolences to the family and said that the municipality would sorely miss his contribution to service delivery in the province.

He was appointed as traffic officer in 1997.

Mr Makganyoga's daughter, Evah, said that she would remember her father as a loving person who was always smiling. "He was a wonderful gift to the family," she said. He is survived by his wife and two children. He will be buried tomorrow (Saturday) at the Ramahantsha graveyard. The service will be held at Tshiozwi at 06:00.

Kaizer Nengovhela

Kaizer Nengovhela started writing stories for Limpopo Mirror in 2000. Prior to that he had a five year stint at Phala-Phala FM as sports presenter. In 2005 Kaizer received an award from the province's premier as Best Sports Presenter. The same year he was also nominated as Best Sports Reporter by the Makhado Municipality. Kaizer was awarded the Mathatha Tsedu award in 2014.
